Tickets are now on sale for the fifth annual Whiddon Autumn Festival, which takes place 17-21 September across Chagford, Drewsteignton, Gidleigh, Throwleigh and Moretonhampstead. This year’s festival offers an exciting programme, including several performances from Ferrier Award-winning tenor Matthew McKinney and returning Ensemble-in-Residence Corvus Consort. Acclaimed singer-songwriter The Magic Lantern will be running a songwriting workshop at the Drewe Arms, before taking to the Long Room stage for an atmospheric evening performance. 2025 Composer-in-Residence Ben Nobuto will write three new works which will be premiered during the festival. There are plenty of community events to get involved in, like the Come&Sing workshop, the Music & Coffee Morning and the Family Concert, which are all pay-what-you-feel events. WAF offers free and discounted tickets for under 35s and a 50% discount for those claiming government benefits.
